Educational Outreach

Stensat Group LLC heavily support STEM programs and local schools with educational products, lesson materials, and instructor support. We can customize lesson materials and kits for most needs.

We are a major supporter of the nonprofit group Federation of Galaxy Explorers. We develop lesson materials for summer camps and mission teams. We design educational kits and props to be used in the organizations programs and events.

We attend STEM events such as the NOVA Maker Faire, Fairfax County STEM-H Expo, the Science and Engineering Festival supporting Federation of Galaxy Explorers. We design and bring interactive displays and activities for kids of all ages to play with.

Current Activities

Federation of Galaxy Explorers: We have worked with this organization in developing activity workstations for the StemShip Discovery Center. We provided material and labor support in the refurbishment of the StemShip Discovery Center. We also provide kits to the organization and tailor the lesson materials. Stenat Group developed the Federation of Galaxy Explorers robotics summer camp and the ROV workshop.

Ft. Belvoir Elementary School: We have run robotics workshops and ROV workshops for 5th and 6th grade students. We bring our robot kits and ROV kits to the annual Patriot STEM Event.

Chantilly Academy: We have provided robotic kits and Arduino compatible kits for engineering classes. We run an after school aerospace club open to all students in Fairfax County and neighboring counties. Students learn how to design and build rockets and how to design and build payloads and telemetry systems. Students also get into underwater robotics.

George Mason University: We provide robotic kits, Arduino compatible kits and lesson materials for the systems engineering program. The products provide systems engineering students hands-on experience with electronics and mechanics and use the products to create other projects. We are currently customizing some of the kits to better fit the curriculum.
